Adopt an Artifact - and leave your mark on history
Every object in our collection carries a story, many of them surviving generations. A hand-beaded Lakota vest. A Cherokee river cane basket. A Plains tipi exhibit. Each one represents a distinct culture, a way of life, and a tradition passed down with care — and each one needs a champion to help keep it on display for the visitors, students, and families who come to learn.
When you adopt an artifact, a small sign goes up beside it in the gallery - bearing your name, a dedication, or any message you choose. It’s a personal connection to something truly meaningful.
Adoptions start at just $75 and support our exhibits, educational programs, and cultural events. Whether you choose a single artifact or an entire gallery, your sponsorship helps ensure that Native stories continue to be told, honored, and celebrated.
Choose an artifact that speaks to you. Your name will be part of its story for the next year.
