Annual Appeal

Each year we ask friends of MKIM for a monetary gift aimed at bringing in unrestricted funds for the museum. Appeal gifts provide the solid foundation that supports our educational programming. Given rising costs and tightening budgets, contributions to this pool of funds are very important for the maintenance of MKIM’s extraordinary cultural, artistic and environmental resources. Your support helps to preserve and protect these treasures. Can't wait for our mailing? Donate online today by clicking on the link to the left or click here for a form to print and mail.

Artifact & Book Donations

Each year, generous individuals chose MKIM as a permanent home for objects of art and books relating to our nation’s original inhabitants. Art objects are accepted on a Temporary Custody basis pending review, and acceptance or decline, by MKIM’s Collections Committee. This committee, ensures that pieces accepted by the museum are able to be well cared for and fill a niche in our existing collections. Upon review, donors will be informed of the committee’s decision through the forwarding of necessary paperwork. Books will be accepted for the Library with the understanding that, should they represent a third or fourth copy of one title, they will either be donated to another library or be placed in a book sale at a special event to raise funds supporting MKIM’s mission.

The 2010 MKIM Collections Committee:
Mark Greenly, Chair - MKIM Trustee

Bud and Nancy Thompson – MKIM Founders
Richard Boisvert – NH State Archaeologist
