Quests…they’re not just for knights anymore!

MKIM Quests help intrepid explorers uncover treasures of Native culture! Tour the museum at your own pace with the help of our family oriented Quests.

Completing the Circle Quest guides visitors through the galleries using engaging verses that encourage visitors young and old to observe the artifacts in special ways (see below.)  Come questing at Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum and find a treasure at the end.

“Now, name a game where balls are tossed
From stick to stick, it’s called Lacrosse
Find the stick used for that sport
Then let me give the full report.”

and further on:

“Now go in search of bison grand
To Plains tribes who traversed the land.
The buffalo was like their general store
Providing leather, tools and more.”

The Medicine Woods Quest leads visitors through a nature trail where plants grow that were and are used by Native Americans for food, medicine, dye, and building material. The Quest focuses on some of those uses and leads you to a treasure at the end.
