Quill Workshop

Join us to learn the basic ziz zag technique of quillwork. All materials will be provided and the instructor will be Dan Shears.

Dan is an enrolled member of the Nulhegan Abenaki. He has been a cultural and historical educator at Plimoth Patuxet Museums from 2013 - 2016 and held the title of Men's Technology Supervisor the latter half of those years. He is a beadworker, traditional hide tanner, and birchbark artisan. Dan also holds the title of Material Culture Advisor for his tribe's Cultural and Historic Preservation Department and some of his reproductions can be seen at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center and the Tomaquag Museum.

We will limit enrollment to 12 participants.
