Donate

The Indian Museum accepts donations to help carry out its mission “To challenge and inspire all of us to improve the quality of our lives and our world.”   Your gift is tax-deductible because the Museum is a non-profit organization with 501c3 status.  According to IRS rules we cannot assign a particular value to non-cash gifts. Anyone is welcome to donate to the Museum.  We will acknowledge your gift with publicity, or not, according to your wishes. Every donation helps us upgrade our offerings, deliver our family-friendly events, and keep our museum open.

Besides donations you can make here, MKIM can accept donations of appreciated stock, grants from donor-advised funds, or Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) from an IRA. Please call us to discuss the options.

Thank you for your generosity.

You can also donate in tangible ways!

Mt Kearsarge Indian Museum thrives on the generosity of folks like you.  In addition to financial support, many of you wish to donate artifacts to the Permanent Collection, or to otherwise benefit the museum.  Please assist us by contacting us by phone or email, prior to bringing your gifts to the museum.  Please forward photographs, so we can best evaluate how they might be utilized to support the museum.  This will give us the opportunity learn more about the nature of the donation, determine if it s a good fit for the museum and schedule a time to meet with you.  Email curator@indianmuseum.org or director@indianmuseum.org.
